Disney Youth Education Series FAQs
What is Disney Youth Education Series?
Disney Youth Education Series (Y.E.S.) is an opportunity for your student group to explore a wide variety of concepts and issues designed to enlighten, inspire and thrill. Many programs are designed to meet national standards or scout badge requirements. All programs take your students inside or behind the scenes of the Walt Disney World® Resort to share the magic of learning - Disney style.
What constitutes a "group" qualified to participate in a Disney Y.E.S. program?
Disney Y.E.S. programs are available exclusively to K-12 student groups of 10 or more residing in The United States of America, Puerto Rico or Canada. Your student participants must be under 22 years of age and meet specific grade level requirements for the program requested. Some experiences require that your students meet certain height specifications. For detailed information, see the program itinerary.
Do we have to be affiliated with a school to participate in Disney Y.E.S.?
Any domestic youth group is welcome to take part in Disney Y.E.S. program. If you are an International Group, please contact us or call 1-877-939-6884 for more information.
How does our group get to participate in Disney Y.E.S. programs?
Your group leader must apply at least SIX WEEKS in advance and receive a confirmed program date and time to participate in a Disney Y.E.S. Program. All programs, dates and times are subject to availability; therefore, we recommend your leader applies as soon as possible. Upon acceptance, your group leader receives written confirmation of your scheduled program, date and time.
How much does it cost to attend a Disney Y.E.S. program?
Package pricing information is available only to qualified groups. Your group must be registered to receive full details. Disney Y.E.S. Programs require the purchase/use of Theme Park admission tickets on the day of the program. Program tuition is included in specially-priced Disney Y.E.S. packages, which also provide multi-day Disney Theme Park admission and a commemorative gift. Florida groups may call 1-877-939-6884 to speak with a Disney representative for other options available to them.
Can my group participate in more than one Disney Y.E.S. program on our trip?
Yes! Many groups choose to experience multiple programs throughout their Walt Disney World® Resort visit. One program is included in the base Disney Y.E.S. package, but additional programs are available for a nominal fee. Use the Disney Y.E.S. Program Request Form and Ticket Order Form to apply for all of the programs you desire. Use an extra sheet if you desire more than three programs.
Can our group use Walt Disney World® Resort transportation to get to our performance?
Your group must arrange its own transportation to and from all programs and options. Walt Disney World® Resort transportation may not be available.
How can I find out the exact details of what to expect on our Disney Y.E.S. program?
You can download, or contact us for a
Disney Y.E.S. Program itinerary.
Please note that all programs are subject to change due to inclement weather, attraction availability and group needs.
Can our chaperones attend Disney Y.E.S. Programs?
Yes, a limited number of your chaperones are permitted to attend Disney Y.E.S. programs; but in some cases not all chaperones may be permitted. A maximum of one chaperone for every one five students may attend Disney Y.E.S. Programs.
What provisions are made for our chaperones?
TWO (2) complimentary chaperone packages are provided for each of your groups purchasing Disney Y.E.S. multi-day packages. Also, for every one paying student, one chaperone may purchase the corresponding Disney Y.E.S. package at the student price.
When the number of your chaperones exceeds the above guidelines, any additional chaperones are charged the current, front-gate admission price. If there is a change in the number of your paying students at the time of purchase, your group must recalculate its chaperone numbers to maintain correct ratios. All of your chaperones may purchase corresponding recreation and dining add-on options at the student rate.
Each of your groups must be accompanied by at least one chaperone. We recommend at least ONE chaperone for every 15 youths in your group.
What methods of payment are accepted for Disney Y.E.S. programs?
- Your school or organization checks may be used only if you purchase tickets by mail order at least SIX WEEKS in advance.
- Cashier's check or money order may be used for ticket mail orders and tickets picked up at the gate.
- Cash is accepted for tickets picked up at the gate.
- Credit cards are accepted for tickets purchased online.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your cancellation must be received in writing at least TWO WEEKS prior to your scheduled arrival date. Refunds are available to your group as long as it submits requests in writing and returns all package components unused.
